Ojo is a town in Lagos. Nigeria. It is a part of the Lagos Metropolitan Area. It is a primarily residential area which also features some interesting places.

Ojo is a multi-lingual city, you are sure to meet the Yorubas, Igbos and the Hausas ably represented in Ojo. Ojo houses one of the best state universities in Nigeria, Lagos State University. It is also home to soma major markets in Lagos, including the Alaba international market, Alaba livestock market, the old Lagos international trade fair complex, and the popular Iyana iba market.

Ojo also houses the divisional headquarters of the Army and Navy. Ojo is really a nice place for tourists to tour.

Getting into Ojo from any part of Nigeria is not a challenge, once you get into Lagos, all you need to do is to board a bus that plies Ojo area, usually a danfo bus, board, and drop at Ojo. Alternatively, you can order for a Bolt, Uber or In-driver, popular car-hailing services with air conditioning. But if you want to have a true experience of the Lagos spirit then a public bus will be your best bet.

Get around

Moving around in Ojo is very easy, you board a bus, popularly called 'Danfo', usually a yellow coloured bus and it takes you to your destination of choice. The price usually ranges from ₦100 to ₦400 depending on where you are going within Ojo.

Though a ban was imposed by the Lagos state government on motorcycles plying major roads, one can still get bike rides to most inner cities of Lagos.
