Split?

Should this page be split into Alappuzha (district) and Alappuzha (city)? It says it is a district but there is also a town here of the same name. There are also smaller regions to subdivide the district into. See Edathua, for example. -- (WT-en) Huttite 08:10, 7 December 2009 (EST)

Sleep listings

Pagebanner

Why am I seeing the pagebanner for Thiruvananthapuram on this page, when the edit screen shows {{pagebanner|Mena-asia_default_banner.jpg}}? In any case, the pagebanner for this article must be different from any other page's banner. Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:39, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

I still see Thiruvananthapuram's pagebanner here. I found this image that might be a good contender for a page banner - Houseboats_in_Alleppey_(7063566949).jpg from wiki commons (Alappuzha is sometimes called Alleppey, that is why I am suggesting a picture with the name Alleppey in the title, it's the same place). I defer to those of you who have more experience in this matter, especially since the image may not meet the ratio requirements of 7:1.

Houseboats: "Do" or "Sleep"

I've been trying to organize and listify and came across this conundrum. It seems that houseboat listings appear in both the "Do" and "Sleep" sections. Sometimes the tours are for a few hours, and would be considered a "Do", often they are an overnight or many night stay, hence a "Sleep". Both lengths of time are offered by many companies, so I don't think it would be good to separate listings based on length of time. I also like the "cleanness" of keeping them segregated to a single section. Any thoughts on which section would be best to place these? DethDestroyerOfWords (talk) 20:30, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Rename to "Alleppey"

It looks like "Alleppey" is more common than "Alappuzha" as the name of this city, at least in travel guides. Therefore, I think this article should be renamed to "Alleppey" and mention "Alappuzha" as the official name à la Bangalore (Bengaluru), Belgaum (Belagavi) etc. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 04:11, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
