Not Australasian! edit
This is Australian (and to some extent New Guinea) wildlife, not Austrlalasian. New Zealand has nothing in common with what's listed here and would need its own article. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 19:19, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- The current setup of wildlife articles is based on the world's biogeographic regions. Australasia is one of those, and all wildlife in Australia is by definition Australasian. The categorization is not rigid, and we could consider to have Australian wildife and New Zealand wildlife as separate articles. /Yvwv (talk) 19:34, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
