Hello, Giantflightlessbirds! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

I couldnt believe it but there are some articles on english wikipedia that have wikivoyage format :( - there is so much bali material there and here that needs updating ... JarrahTree (talk) 23:39, 12 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
I just wanted to fix up things that I'd experienced personally. Wikivoyage is an odd model, on the one hand not caring about citation and on the other hand wide open to abuse by tourism operators. It's never clear how much you can trust, and it seems to depend on many eyes at work to clean up bias, even more so than Wikipedia. I did find it particularly useful when planning the Bali trip though, more so in some respects than my Rough Guide. —Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 10:24, 13 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
