No understand section? edit
Being originally a "spinoff" from the main Switzerland article, it does not currently have an "understand" section. Should one be written? Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:56, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Does this have to be "outline" still? Hobbitschuster (talk) 17:05, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
"motorways and expressways (often with oncoming traffic)" edit
What are the differences between motorways and expressways? Are expressways just undivided motorways or are they the equivalent of divided highways but with at-grade junctions (which is the NZ meaning of expressway)? I think it should be more clearly mentioned. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 12:31, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
- Per w:Motorways of Switzerland, I see that the speed limits are also lower on expressways. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 12:39, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly it's not uncommon in Switzerland and Alpine countries in general with undivided highways with one lane in each direction but grade-separated crossings, likely because of the terrain. --Ypsilon (talk) 14:24, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- So is it synonymous with a two-lane freeway? SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:40, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
