These islands were just breadcrumbed directly to French Polynesia. Why are they not part of the Tuamotu Islands and listed in that article as being part of the chain? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:04, 16 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

OK, but then is this opening sentence false?
The Gambier Islands are a group of coral reef islands in the southeast extreme of the Tuamotu Islands archipelago of French Polynesia.
Are they part of the Tuamotu Islands, or are they a different island group to its southeast (rather than at its southeast extreme)? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:37, 16 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
