Get Around / By Car

Quote: "Also it should be noted that cars with foreign registration are not allowed to circulate between 6am and 6pm." I assume this should read "between 6pm and 6am", that is, at night. But since it's only an assumption, I won't change it. Also, I really have no idea if this is still in effect.

Currency redenomination

As Ghana cedi was redenominated at the beginning of July 2007 by dropping four zeros, all the articles dealing with Ghana should probably therefore be converted to use the new "Ghana cedi" (1 new cedi = 10000 old cedis). Regions

This is the last major West African country to tackle on this front. There are 10 administrative divisions and that is clearly too many. I think Geography is the key and I propose:

• Volta Basin :most of central and eastern Ghana centred around vast Lake Volta and the various rivers feeding it
• Ghanaian Coastal Plain
• Ashanti-Kwahu :the Ashanti Hills and Kwahu Plateau - forested low hills in the south west.
• Ghanaian Northern Plains

I had tried to divide Ghana, but I didn't get far enough along to make a proposal, because I couldn't figure out how to best keep the Ashanti region, but I think seems good. Rethinking

I would like to split the coast into two regions, as there is way too much, really, for one article. The usual travel guide method is to do the West, Accra region, and East, but I think that is unnecessary. The Accra region is often thought of as the Ga-speaking region, which extends all the way to Ada—nearly covering the whole of the coast east of the capital. There isn't much to see or do east of Accra, either. Whereas there is a ton of stuff to do west of Accra, and it is a much larger area. --(WT-en) Peter ^Talk 13:53, 26 June 2012 (EDT)

Which 9 cities and Other destinations?

At the country-wide level, no more than 9 selected cities and "Other destinations" are listed. Which ones should we list? Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:43, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Several of them appear to be villages, which would technically qualify them to go under Cities, so those should probably all be removed. Texugo (talk) 13:35, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

As far as I can tell, Adanwomase seems to be a village, and Nzulezo and Wli Todzi are described as villages in their listings. However, since Nzulezo is a village on stilts that's a UNESCO World Heritage site, it's important to feature it somehow. If we're not listing it among the 9 cities or other destination, at the very least it should be mentioned and linked in "See," don't you think? Ikan Kekek (talk) 14:26, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

I decided to also mention Wli Todzi with a link in the "Nature" subsection of "See." Have a look at the section at your leisure and tell me whether you think it fits there or should be removed.
