Banner
editI'm neutral on which banner goes on this article, but surely this beautiful banner taken by Christian Ferrer needs to go somewhere. The alternate one could also go in the currently uncreated Mèze. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 23:00, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- I slightly prefer banner 1, but banner 0 should be used somewhere. Both have unique perspectives and content. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 20:32, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
Banner discussion 2
editI found this photo on the main page of Commons, and it works quite well as unc bannière. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:25, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Banner 2 looks very Hérault to me, whereas the others could represent anywhere in the Mediterranean, though most of my two weeks in the department was spent on or around boats on the Étang de Thau so perhaps it's just my association.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:11, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- I have yet to visit Occitanie, but I too associate this region with mountains and a coastal area with boats. It just so happens to be that both those [uncropped versions of the] images were on the main page on Commons take by the same photographer ;-) --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:20, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- Done. It'd be nice to see the other banners used somewhere, (only if the other two banners fit in somewhere else and fulfill the job of being a representative banner). SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:17, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- You should definitely visit if you ever get the chance. Occitania is probably my favourite French region (although there's a bit of competition for that uncoveted title), and it's got pretty much everything you'd want from a holiday in France, particularly as you don't mind travelling great distances between places.--ThunderingTyphoons! - Yeah definitely, and I'd like to visit France again once the pandemic ends.
- Along with Occitanie, I'd like to visit Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur too. I've never visted the Alps, but have always wanted to (and perhaps maybe why national parks in France hold a special place in my article collection). SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 08:58, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
