The farmers market is now (april) open till 3pm.

Comfy corner cafe is now closed and becoming some kind of Jazz place.

Thirsty duck is also closed, unsure if this is for refurb or for ever.

I have edited the 'Bus Transit' section. Acadian Lines went out of business and ceased service completely this past November. It seems that 'MaritimeBus' has taken over their service and the business resides at the same address. Connections

Does this mean that Halifax (Nova Scotia) is connected to mainland Canada by bridge/roads?

Nova Scotia is no island. Some parts of Nova Scotia are islands (the largest one being Cape Breton which is linked to the mainland by a short bridge), but Halifax is on the main part of NS. No island = no bridge necessary. :-) 24.222.162.197 00:40, 13 November 2010 (EST)

Citadel

As a former employee I don't mind doing a bit of extra or additional work on the Citadel section. I did amend the 'Noon Gun' portion. The gun fires every day of the year except for Christmas day, albeit with a reduced gun-crew (2, instead of 5-man in the summer) but visitors are welcome at any point to watch it. I also hesitate to use the word ceremonial with the gun, it is very much a real gun, with real gun powder and is a real tradition that has been on going (on-record) since the 1830's, though there is reason to believe it has gone on since the city's founding in 1749, as time signalling guns were often used. —The preceding comment was added by 99.192.92.48 (talk • contribs)

Weather

Hey I'm a voyager and I've got no idea how to fix this, but the weather box is off to the far right and it's hard to read. Anyone know how to fix? LeptonMadness (talk) 04:38, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

(ec) Do you mean the box with the temperature info in the Climate section? That box is controlled by Template:Climate, which automatically aligns it with the right side of the page, as far as I know. There should be text describing the climate as well and normally that text flows around the weather box so it doesn't look so odd. Alternative banner for this article?

In the Hebrew Wikivoyage we are currently using this banner instead of the one which is currently used here. Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 06:48, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

There is now a default banner different from the "tugboat", a lighthouse, used for example on the French Wikivoyage. Amqui (talk) 18:04, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

That's a beautiful shot of Peggys Cove lighthouse. The only problem is Peggys Cove is a separate article on EN so I don't think it would be appropriate for Halifax.

The tugboat, BTW, is Theodore and is well known in Halifax for its tours. It's not without merit as a banner subject but I wouldn't call it iconic either. Something to do with the harbour, Citadel or clock tower would probably be better if we want to stay away from skylines (and i don't recall anything remarkable about Halifax's skyline. -Shaundd (talk) 21:38, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
