Move?

The current title seems incorrect since people might think its part of Arran when its not even tidally part and you have to get a ferry to it from Arran. On Wikipedia there was objections to using "Scotland" as a disambiguator since "Eileach an Naoimh" could be translated that way however given that that is uninhabited I doubt it could have an article here so we might be able to use "Scotland" alone but if that would create confusion we could "North Ayrshire" or "Firth of Clyde" here? • I think that visitors are likely to think of here as part of Arran. Unless you have a boat, then you go to Arran first, and using the Lochranza ferry vistors might only know of Nort Ayrshire from the council signs. North Ayrshire is a redirect to Ayrshire, and we don't have anything for "Firth of Clyde". As WP use "Holy Island, Firth of Clyde", then Holy Island (Firth of Clyde) may be useful as a redirect.   Then I would use Holy Island (Scotland) if people aren't likely to know North Ayrshire or Firth of Clyde, otherwise I'd use Holy Island (near Arran) (or similar) since although you do have to go to Arran first you do then have to get a ferry to Holy Island. This makes it not only separate from a physical point of view but also from a practical point of view unlike say Oronsay that is tidally connected to Colonsay.   I prefer Holy Island (Arran), but the present Holy Island (near Arran) is ok. If you say Holy Island, when you are in Scotland, unless you are on Arran, people will assume that you are mean Lindisfarne, which is very close to the border and gets many more visitors. I think that some readers might assume that Holy Island (Scotland) was Lindisfarne. AlasdairW (talk) 21:47, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

  "Arran" was probably used because of Eileach an Naoimh near Mull but that is uninhabited and so probably doesn't need an article so I'd probably support moving to Holy Island (Scotland) and but a confuse note for Lindisfarne but as noted "Arran" without "near" is incorrect as while near its not part of it.
