Listy?

edit

This article has beautiful pictures, but it's a long, though annotated, list. Would it be best to just merge this material as relevant to articles for individual states and territories, and then redirect this page to India? Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:14, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ahhhhh!, I already incorporated them to their appropriate states and territories - can just leave it as it in case anyone wants to view this long list as reference - I don't think many will go to this page... The park page for the US is just as long - Matroc (talk) 05:26, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

ps - I created Bhandarej page because I didn't want to see the only red link on the Jaipur page - :)!
You're right. I couldn't find that article before; it's at United States National Parks, and I was searching under "National Parks of...", "American" and so forth. That article is indeed a similarly long list, but at least it has more content: A lede and "Understand" and "Fees/Permits" sections. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:43, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Pictures of animals in zoos

edit

I was just looking at the information on some of the photos, and I saw that one was from the Nuremburg Zoo and another from the San Antonio Zoo. Don't you all think we should use photos from Indian national parks and wildlife sanctuaries only? Photos from zoos are cheating, in my opinion, and I'd like to remove them from this article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:29, 3 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - originally was doing a slide show of animals etc. found in India and used examples found in Commons - but I agree, when doing parks etc. that it is better to show animals, birds, etc. in their natural/local habitat... I did not find the San Antonio Zoo one - could you point it out for me and I will change it. - changed another one I found as well ... Matroc (talk) 05:33, 4 October 2015 (UTC) (Found image and clouded leopard will be changed or removed!)Reply
I'm looking through all the photos now. The peacock is from the Duisberg Zoo, the crocodile is from St. Augustine Alligator Farm, the clownfish is in the Great Barrier Reef, the Valley of Flowers photo is used twice (I'll delete the second instance). I'm not seeing anything from the San Antonio Zoo now. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:12, 4 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
All changed - 1 removed - Matroc (talk) 07:43, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I noticed you found replacements for all except the clownfish. Good job! Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:55, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Too many images

edit

On my browser, the last 4 images are entirely below the end of the codes at the end of the article, and attempting to show photos of everything is in opposition to Wikivoyage:Image policy#Minimal use of images. This site is not the place for photo galleries; those should be on Wikimedia Commons. I will remove the last 4 thumbnails, but more should be removed, so that there isn't a long, unbroken stream of photos on the right side of the page. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:45, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

It's taking at least 15 second to load on my browser. I'd say delete the last eight or so. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:54, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please go ahead. I want to eventually try to sleep again... Ikan Kekek (talk) 12:11, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'm not finding this photo in any Wikivoyage article. Is it visible in any? Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:05, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
