It could easily be claimed that this article violates our Wikivoyage:Bodies of water policy, but I think it deserves an article anyway.

For one thing it passes the "can you sleep there" test, since there are hotels located on the lake but miles from any city. Also, there are transport options, like bus trips from Shanghai, that go to the lake rather than a city. Anyway, I think we need this to tie together the various towns on the lake (in different provinces) and give them something to link to.

Read Wikivoyage:Bodies of water#Land regions. This article is not about the water in the lake, but the lake plus the cities on and near it. I actually argued for abolishing the "Bodies of water" policy during the transition to Wikimedia, because it seems to never be used as a reason to delete anything, anyway. Here we go... I hope they are both showing the right lake, I uploaded both from Flickr and there wasn't much information to the photos provided. Danapit (talk) 12:55, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Both look like the right lake to me. For the first one I'm almost certain because of the ferris wheel. I like that one better too, so I'll put it in. Pashley (talk) 14:42, 13 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
