Alternative banner for this article?
editIn the Hebrew Wikivoyage we are currently using this banner instead of the one which is currently used here. Do you think too that this banner would would better than the existing one? ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 04:24, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, I do. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:30, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
Tour listing moved from article
editThis listing seems to violate Wikivoyage's tour listing policy, but since it's not completely clear to me that it can't be claimed to be a "value-added" tour under the definition of the policy, I'm copying it here instead of deleting it outright. I think it probably doesn't not fall under the policy, though, and it also seems to have a particular and avowed bias. It is also written in the first person: Who is "I"?
- Nazareth old city tour (insider Nazareth tour), Nazareth (The tour starts in the courtyard of the Basilica of the Annunciation), ☏ +972-3-721-9540, toll-free: +1-800-809-7913. mostly on Friday 9:30 AM. I you want to get more insights on Nazareth and on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; join award-winning journalist Jonathan Cook on an exploration of the heart of Nazareth. Walk the ancient alleyways while learning about the impact of the Jewish State on the lives of the people who live in this city. The tour also sheds light on Israel’s continuing use of a Judaisation program inside Israel to strengthen the Jewish population at a high cost to the Palestinian population, in Nazareth and elsewhere, and the parallels between Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian minority and Palestinians in the occupied territories. 320 EGP or 160 ILS.

- I'd add that the "Walking Tour of the Old City," which provides an itinerary anyone can walk, is exactly what we are looking for on this site. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:24, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
MapMask
editHi ויקיג'אנקי , I noticed the MapMask on the Hebrew Wikivoyage article seems larger than the one I have used here. Looking at the source I'm not sure how to use that one instead (I'm assume it is more accurate). Can you help? --Andrewssi2 (talk) 10:48, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- Andrewssi2 , That's because the Hebrew article is about a much larger area - it is both about the Arabic dominant city of Nazareth (world famous tourist destination for Christians) + about the adjacent Jewish dominant city Nazareth Illit (which,in my opinion, isn't of much interest to non-Israeli tourists). ויקיג'אנקי (talk) 11:07, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- ויקיג'אנקי : I see... so if the current map mask that I have used accurate enough for English WV purposes? --Andrewssi2 (talk) 11:24, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks ויקיג'אנקי ! --Andrewssi2 (talk) 04:43, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Wrong Redirect Beth Shearim
edit- Swept in from the pub
Hi, I just came across from german WV because I checked a language link from our new Bet She'arim to the english version and found a redirect to Nazareth which is possibly wrong, at loeast I couldn't find too much about Bet She'arim National Park on the Nazareth page. I think the redirect page should be deleted (or an article created...), kind regards Martin - Mboesch (talk) 17:07, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. We used to have an article for Beth Shearim, but this was merged into Nazareth in January 2017. At that time there was an "Around the city" section of See which included details of Beth Shearim, butt his was removed without explanation a couple of months later. Also see Wikivoyage:Votes for deletion/March 2017. There is info in Lower Galilee, so I think that the redirect should point there, but perhaps somebody familiar with the area could confirm. - Yes, Lower Galilee is correct. Ar2332 (talk) 13:22, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
