Hello, I'm Mike from Omaha. I love visiting the world's great (and small) cities. I travel to learn, experience, and see the sights, but most importantly to get a feeling of what it's like to be a local. Nothing else gives me a connection to a place and the people quite like the neighborhood bars and restaurants hidden away from the tourist areas. Without a doubt, several of my best travel experiences have been stumbling into these secret places: a tiny whiskey bar in Akihabara, a gourmet village restaurant in Hampstead, an expansive grand cafe in Prague, or a cramped and cheerful bar in Leiden.

Hopefully many more to come. In the meantime, I'm exploring America, going to business college, and working my ass off to pay for the next trip.
