Hello, Diego de Manila! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions to Japan! (WT-en) Jpatokal 08:42, 20 May 2009 (EDT)

Kyoto Districts

edit

I completely agree that if the Kyoto guide is to be of any use, it needs to be districted. The city actually isn't that large in size, but in attractions, it's HUGE! I had always thought that if someone tried to use it as a guide, it'd be quite troublesome. I hope it didn't mess up your trip too much! The Kyoto guide is organized much better than the Osaka page, though. That one needs a complete overhaul! I'll be leaving Japan soon, so next week I may be MIA, but I'll definitely try to work on the Kyoto conversion, if we do go through with this. (WT-en) ChubbyWimbus 11:33, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Thanks for responding! And no worries; I consulted a variety of travel references so the trip went almost perfectly (and Wikivoyage was still a very big help). You're right, the Kyoto guide is quite nicely organised; all that needs to be done is make it easier to digest by not feeding all that information to users on a single page. Let's hope the districting project will be a great success. --(WT-en) Diego de Manila 20:23, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
