Copyright issues?

Hi Urang bandung, I have been looking at your contributions and some of them appear to be copyright violations. Please review our copyleft and also our Image policy. You must be the author of any text placed on Wikivoyage and also own the photos you place or they must be in the public domain. For example I found Image:Alun-alun.jpg on asiatravelling.net, so if you own this photo, you need to indicate that on the image page. If these are not your photos and if the text is not yours, we will need to delete them. Hi Urang! Sorry to have to point this out, but the GNU FDL sadly is not compatible with the license we use here, the Creative Commons by-sa. Just so you know. -- (WT-en) Mark 08:22, 24 April 2006 (EDT)

.. but is it nor isn't it allowed to include only GFDL images here?

If someone has licensed an image only under the GFDL, we cannot use it, unless the creator agrees to also license it under CC-BY-SA. (If you find something in Wikipedia Commons, it's usually worth asking the contributor if they'll do this.) Wikivoyage as a whole is distributed under CC-BY-SA, and one of the clauses of GFDL says that re-users can't change the license the material is distributed under. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 07:37, 21 July 2006 (EDT)

Hi, Urang bandung. I came from Bandung as well and you have made a wonderful article about it. Actually I would like to ask your permission to contribute or do some editing as well. I have actually taken the liberty to do some minor changes for the grammar. Any major alterations would be discussed first of course. Anyway, I love Bandung so much and I want to take this opportunity to contribute more about Bandung and of course making it a star article. Your reply would be most appreciated. Thanks!
