Hello Pitxiquin! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Wikivoyage:Listings will also be a useful reference for you, as this site uses listing templates.

Thanks a lot for your edits to Somoto! You'll see that I folded info about Nancambre Tours into the listing for their hostel. This is based partly on the don't tout guidelines (I'm not saying you mean to tout! Please read on.) that generally do not allow for the same business to be listed more than once, so that if an inn has bedrooms for rent, a bar, restaurant and a tour agency, they don't get 4 different listings. It's also partly based on this site's policy toward tour listings, which is pretty restrictive, as Wikivoyage is really designed primarily for independent travelers who need information to plan their own trips, not people taking package tours, who have everything taken care of for them. (I realize, obviously, that there is considerable ground between the extremes of doing everything or nothing for oneself, but this is just to explain the basic thinking process behind Wikivoyage.) Anyway, don't sweat the small stuff; just add content, and if it needs to be edited, someone will likely take care of that.

If you have any questions, please post a message below, and I and other regulars here will do our best to assist you. Meanwhile, happy editing!

All the best,
