Mistake in Registering

Hello. I wanted the name of my account as CHEMA LOMAS. However, my mistake is that I have written "CHEMS" instead of CHEMA. Please, how can I exchange IT? in the same account? Regards Jose Maria Lomas, aka Chema

@Chems Lomas: As you have just two edits (none on other projects), simply create a new account and abandon this. You can create the new account as logged-in, which will make them connected in the logs, and you could link your new user page from your old one. If you had a longer edit history, you could ask a steward to rename your account, but they will not see it worth the trouble in this case. –LPfi (talk) 19:07, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Carrying beer in Estonia

This might be a bit of a strange question. Lately I've grown to especially like beer brewed by the Estonian brewery Tanker. So I had a thought of some day visiting the actual brewery in Jüri, Estonia, to see if I can purchase beer directly from there.

If this works out, there is the problem of how can I carry the beer back home with me. I would be planning to purchase at least 24 cans of beer, which is more than I can carry in my hands. I could bring some sort of cart, but how would I get the cart with the beer from Jüri to the Tallinn ship harbour? It's too far for me to walk, and I have neither a driver's licence or access to a car. Can I take the cart on a bus or something?

And once I get back on the ship to Finland, do I have to make some sort of statement that the beer was bought in Jüri and I will not drink it on the ship, it's strictly to carry home with me, or can I just go straight ahead to the ship? Will there be issues with the Estonian or Finnish customs?

A cart intended for beer packages that you will see with many foot passengers arriving from Tallinn is probably unnecessary for just one or two packages. I would take some sturdy bag; one of those blue ones from IKEA or possibly one or two of those bigger reusable bags from a supermarket. On the other hand, if you plan to buy more, a cart could be useful. A cart should be possible to bring on a city bus, it's not that big.

For the customs issues, well, as long as Finland and Estonia have been in the EU you really need to load a car full of alcohol in order to make the customs interested (also see https://tulli.fi/henkiloasiakkaat/matkailijalle/alkoholi#saavun-eu:n-alueelta). When I wrote "which is more than I carry in my hands", I meant not only that the beer cans don't fit into my hands, but also that they are too heavy. 24 beer cans weigh about 12 kilograms, which I can only carry around for very short distances. If it were double that weight (24 kilograms) I'd have trouble lifting it off the ground. So I would need some sort of cart anyway to carry that much beer. In that case, do bring a cart (olutkärryt); I think they can be bought in places like Tokmanni here in Finland, onboard all Estonia ferries, and in some places in Estonia itself (e.g. alcohol shops in the harbor). Ypsilon (talk) 16:44, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
