Airport and Pyramids - More warnings?
editI recently visited Cairo, and I found the sections about the CAI airport and the pyramids lacking some warnings about how stressful this will be for a solo traveler. I did expect some chaos and shortcomings, but i was surprised how badly both were managed. I think the article should reflect that in some way. This was way more then the usual touts and scams, me and fellow travelers were almost chased around and harassed, up to a point where we could not shrug this of as "cultural things".
Both pyramids and the airport lack all signposting, and have an abundance of people with "official IDs" acting aggressive.
If nobody objects, i will update the article with some practical tips to avoid the worst. :-)

- Sure, go ahead, but keep it neutral. I also disenjoyed Luxor for that reason, but never felt threatended or chased, just very annoyed. Maybe some details to cover for the missing information at the airport would be nice. Cheers Ceever (talk) 01:25, 18 June 2018 (UTC)

Upgrade to Guide status?
editThis is a well-developed article which meets many of the criteria for guide status; see Wikivoyage:Guide articles. Should we upgrade, or is anything missing? /Yvwv (talk) 00:40, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
