Talk:Clark

Hey, I like how you did the official link after the name of the place! Can we talk about making that standard on Project:Templates? I'd like to know if others agree... (WT-en) Majnoona 14:18, 25 Jan 2006 (EST)

I missed this. Yes, I like the idea too. --(WT-en) Ravikiran 13:44, 4 Feb 2006 (EST)

Disambig

edit

This is ambiguous with CRK, Clark Airport in the Philippines.

I travel mostly in Asia & know Clark as a hub for low-cost flights & a destination for people looking for the girlie bars in nearby Angeles, possibly the country's best destination for that. I've also met several people who were stationed at Clark when it was an important US air base during the Vietnam War. If it were up to me, I'd make Clark redirect to the airport & move the small town to Clark (New Jersey). Pashley (talk) 18:16, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Checking 'what links here' I found half a dozen that linked to "Clark" but meant the airport. Those are all now fixed, but new ones may crop up later. Pashley (talk) 18:38, 7 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've never been to either Clark, and have no opinion about which one travellers are most likely looking for. Maybe it would be best to set Clark as a disambiguation page pointing to the two articles. I wouldnt be surprised if there were several Clark counties across the US. Ground Zero (talk) 08:00, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You are indeed correct. Clark County, Nevada is Las Vegas' county, so quite important. A web search also turns up Clark counties in Washington, Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas and Illinois. There's also a Clarke County, Virginia. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:13, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Checking 'what links here' a few years later, I found & fixed four badly aimed links. Pashley (talk) 13:55, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
