Article name etc. edit

Not sure if this article is needed or if we perhaps should merge the content into a destination article (Esino Lario?). If we decide to keep it, there are a couple of things the article needs right away. First, its name should tell the reader that it's about Lombardy. Also, the location of individual attractions could maybe more exact. --ϒpsilon (talk) 16:19, 11 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

This article is not about cooking. The fact that a potato is shown in a tapestry or that there's a brief entry about the grape harvest doesn't change that. I could be convinced otherwise, but right now, this looks to me like a souped-up few listings. I would merge what's relevant to Esino Lario and redirect. Any objections? Actually, let me correct this: It looks like a single souped-up listing for Esino's Tapestry School. It should have its own listing in the Esino Lario article if we can find its address and contact information, and the content here should be summarized in the listing. Then this article should be redirected to the Esino article. Again, any objections? Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:57, 15 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
No objections at all from me. User:Yiyi and User:Erjel who've edited the article perhaps would like to comment? ϒpsilon (talk) 09:14, 15 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

And Exploring... an archive. Maybe we should put a temporary infobox in the Esino Lario article telling people who are new to WV to contribute to the Esino Lario article instead of creating new articles for everything. ϒpsilon (talk) 14:57, 16 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Logistics edit

We all agree this should be merged with Esino Lario, and I think we all agree it should be redirected somehow.

It seems to me, the solution is to rename this article Esino Tapestry School, merge relevant text about the tapestry school to a new "Tapestry School" entry, which could be in either "Do", "See" or a "Learn" section (but probably not "Learn", unless you could really learn much in a 2-week course there), and then turn this article into a redirect.

So anyone's main task, if they choose to perform it, would be to create the Tapestry School listing. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:47, 20 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hold it: Maybe there is no listing for Esino Tapestry School because it no longer exists! From the Esino Lario article: "The church also hosts two tapestries with religious subjects from the tapestry school of Esino Lario, which was active from 1936 to 1961[...]" So my proposed solution is a non-starter. Where is the "nursery" mentioned in this article? A search of the Esino article under "nursery" produced no result. So where do we move this content? Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:11, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
There is a little more info at this Wikimania page. Tapestries are being exhibited at 1) the museum, 2) the Church of San Vittore, 3) the "Theatre of the Kindergarten" - this will be the nursery. Maybe the general info in this article (the Intro) should go into the Understand section of Esino Lario (possibly edited down further), with a brief mention of the 3 exhibition places, and then the specific info about the exhibition pieces go in the entries for the 3 exhibition sites, which may mean adding a listing for the kindergarten in the "See" section. Complicated. And what should this article be renamed to before it's ultimately redirected? Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
