Merge into Natchitoches?
editI keep looking over the towns of Campti and Clarence. Both towns offer very little to the visitor. Clarence has a regionally known barbeque restaurant, but little more. Campti doesn't offer anything besides a barbeque festival offered in October. After driving to this area a couple weeks ago, I honestly think what little information is on these towns, as well as Natchitoches Parish, can be merged into the Natchitoches article in Central Louisiana. There just doesn't seem to be any reason for Natchitoches Parish to have its own page. The town of Natchitoches is the sole center of activity of any kind in this parish and rural sights and destinations could be addressed as such within that article. Any thoughts? - The main problem here is that region articles are supposed to either be broken up into multiple subregions that together cover the entire land area of the large region, or else not broken up into subregions at all. But Central (Louisiana), the article above Natchitoches Parish on the hierarchy, is incompletely subdivided, and Natchitoches Parish is its only subregion. So yes, the thing to do is not only to merge the information here into Natchitoches, but also convert Natchitoches Parish into a rediredt to Natchitoches (since policy prohibits outright deletion of articles representing real places) and also make sure to excise the Regions section from the Central Louisiana article. -- AndreCarrotflower (talk) 22:51, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Natchitoches Parish now covers two cities with proper articles: Natchez and Natchitoches. Campti and Clarence are redirects to Natchitoches. Ground Zero (talk) 04:12, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
