Prices
editCan someone speak to the prices at the restaurants and hotels, and compare to neighboring Skopje? (WT-en) MrZaius 23:59, 15 April 2009 (EDT)
- erm, speak to the prices? in any case please plunge forward - --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 00:40, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
Taxi Price: From Pristina Airport to a downtown hotel the fixed price in May 2022 is meanwhile 25 EUR and sometimes the driver demands a "fuel-surcharge" of additional 5 EUR. The price in the other direction is much cheaper. At the airport exit door for Taxis there is a big sign with all fares to destinations out of Pristina. The same information on the airports website is outdated ! Take a photograph and have the correct EUR amount ready. --87.238.213.99 15:18, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- Why don't you update this information in the article? It would have taken you the same amount of time to update it there as to post it here and expect someone else to do it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:56, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
Name
editPristina is not the "wrong name"; it's the pretty much universally-used English-language name. The standard for nomenclature on this site is laid out at Wikivoyage:Naming conventions and has to do only with which name is most used in English. And names of article titles should not be changed unilaterally. I will move the article back immediately after typing this message. User:Astronomi06 and others, please do not move it back but feel free to argue that Prishtina is more commonly used in English. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 18:45, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- I notice that "Prishtina" is widely used in the text of this article. We need to pick a spelling and stick with it, though the fact that an alternative spelling exists should be mentioned in the lede or "Understand." Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:48, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- I took care of most of them; the one at the beginning of the article was egregious; how long was that allowed to stand? Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:55, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- For those new to Wikivoyage: Welcome, thanks for your updates, and please use the spelling "Pristina." You can also argue that "Prishtina" is used more often in English (and then good luck), but in the meantime, all such spellings that aren't the official names of organizations and so forth must be changed. Destination of the month?
editWe have had few featured articles from the Balkans. Does this article need any specific improvement to be a Destination of the Month? What time of the year would be the best for featuring Pristina? /Yvwv (talk) 19:52, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Yvwv if this is still an option I would say ASAP while Manifesta is happening. --Zblace (talk) 09:33, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
- In that case we would run Pristina in October. We rarely make features on such short notice, but we could always make the nomination at dotm. Are there any future public events? /Yvwv (talk) 11:39, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
Taxi apps
editThe article says all the taxi companies use whatsapp or viber, but to me it seems this is not true and they all have an app of their own to install, which would be nice but they all say it cannot be installed to me since I'm a foreigner. Only one that worked was the golden taxi app. Slsh-w (talk) 09:57, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
