With only 17 city articles in Telangana as a whole, it is not likely that subdividing into 10 empty district articles is necessary or helpful. If this state ever does really need subdivision, districts may not be the best way to go; it could probably be better covered with about 3 geographical or cultural divisions than 10 administrative ones. Let's revert this to a bottom level region for now and redirect the districts there, and talk about subdividing when there is a stronger need for it. Texugo (talk) 16:35, 4 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
Dear Texugo, Ikan Kekek and Sbb1413 I think a state like Telangan should be divided into sub-parts.I have divide it into 5 sub-parts, namely: North, East, West, Central and South. I have shared the division below. Do have a look and if you think it is OK do approve. Rangan Datta Wiki (talk) 18:03, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please open the Central Telangana article. The article has a info / index box mentioning cities, other destinations, etc. This comes in wikipedia articles but not in Wikivoyage articles. Why is it coming? and how do we remove it? Ikan Kekek can you help. --Rangan Datta Wiki (talk) 06:22, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hold on a moment. If there are currently 18 articles categorised under Telangana, there will approximately be approximately 3–4 blue links per TS subregion (obviously, this is a rough count and would be the case in a perfect world) and if you're suggesting that there will be ≈10 articles per region, that means that there will be around 6–7 (±1) red links. Unless a solid baseline is created for these articles (i.e. most sections filled out) or if more articles are created, I would oppose this region structure. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta)11:03, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I support the proposal. There would be a lot of unnecessary work involved in splitting it to e.g. only 2 subregions and then splitting it again a few months later when the other articles are created and developed. Gizza (roam)01:52, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Due to the lack of attractions per district/city, I have converted the whole West Telangana into a rural area. Other regions will survive since they all have districts/cities with enough attractions. Sbb1413 (he) (talk • contribs) 16:29, 24 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

This state is now subdivided into 5 regions, as shown above, yet there are 14 cities listed in Telangana#Cities. Per Wikivoyage:Avoid long lists, only 9 cities should be listed. Which ones should be removed?
In addition, "Other destinations" is messy. I'd like any that we list to link to articles, so if any of the attractions that don't have their own article merit articles per Wikivoyage:What is an article, whoever starts articles for them will be doing a good service. I will say, though, that I doubt a single temple will merit its own article, and I don't think Ranga Reddy, which seems to be a populated area more than an attraction on other bases, belongs in "Other destinations" at all.
