Bizarre mapshape

edit

The standard mapshape seems to make no sense... Why is that? Hobbitschuster (talk) 14:20, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Freedom of panorama issues; uploaded locally.
But the banner probably has the same issues. Somebody should take care of uploading it locally.

No freedom of panorama. I think we should upload this locally. What do you think? Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:25, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, we can't have it on commons. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | en.wikipedia) 08:45, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
OK. I'll upload it. –LPfi (talk) 09:10, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

No freedom of panorama, as above. The file is used through Wikidata, so uploading locally will not save that use. We have another image of the church in the article, already uploaded locally. The other one is low-resolution. Which one do we want to have? Is there some other place this file should be used? I suppose we have the same problem also with the banner, which should be uploaded locally, although not yet nominated for deletion (perhaps because it is not in the specific category on Commons). –LPfi (talk) 05:53, 24 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

No FoP in Côte d'Ivoire. Used via Wikidata so we do not have much control over this. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:04, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is a better photo than we have on the page, but I don't know if it's more useful. If it is, I don't understand why it couldn't be uploaded locally, but I think we'd be better off with a larger image from a similar view to the one on the page. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:40, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Here the basilica is seen across a lake, and it seems an argument about de minimis has been made for a similar (or the same?) photo. My feeling is that the photo was taken from this spot to get the basilica included, so interpreting it as a major subject seems reasonable, although it is small in the photo. I assume we should keep the locally uploaded Ourladyofpeaceafricaexterior.jpg or some other file that Commons cannot host, and ignore the attempts to illustrate the basilica with a photo that can be interpreted not to be of the basilica. Nice photo, but not needed here. –LPfi (talk) 13:37, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's our pagebanner. We need to upload it locally. The other photo is nice but not used on the page. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:24, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
