Hi there! You've done some great work on here so far and it would be great to have you on board the Airport Expedition!

Have you considered creating a user account so you get credit for your contributions and many other advantages? Also, if you're new to the whole wiki software look at the wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup (we dont use html tages for formatting). If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub! It would be great to see you! Nick talk 00:33, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and welcome! When you start articles, please use standard article templates. For example, Carroll County (Maryland) should use a region article template. Each city or town would normally get a one line listing in a regional article, and if Westminster and Sykesville are interesting enough, they should have their own articles with small city article templates. If not, the points of interest in them should be mentioned under "See," a section which is in the standard region article template and should be in the article. If you have any questions after looking at those pages, please ask. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:31, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Actually, there is a Westminster (Maryland) article, so I'll link it. Start a Sykesville article if you like: click that red link and click on "City" just above the upper left corner of the edit window to begin. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:34, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Heathrow

edit

Hi! We already have a Heathrow article, so there's no need to create a new one. Why not add some of your information from London Heathrow International Airport to that article? --Nick talk 12:17, 27 May 2013 (UTC) Yes, I noticed that. I'm going to work on it. Must not have searched right the first time.Reply

What is an article

edit

Hi. Please read "What is an article". Transit systems do not get their own article under that policy. If you'd like to make an argument for a change in the policy, the place to do it is not all over the site where it will have no effect, but on the talk page for the relevant policy page: that is, Wikivoyage talk:What is an article. I hope you do make your argument there, but something that's important to understand is that Wikivoyage works by consensus, and one or a few new users who come and say that a preexisting consensus should be changed won't get anywhere just by saying it's wrong; you have to give persuasive reasons and try to change the established consensus. I say this not to discourage you, but just so that you understand more clearly how things work here. See you at Wikivoyage talk:What is an article.

All the best,

Discuss first

edit

Would you mind discussing things before you start making a bunch of huge changes? The Salt Lake City Airport really isn't big enough to justify having its own article, and eliminating an entire history section with no prior discussion is not going to win you much favor. Do this by typing 4 tildes in a row (~~~~). It identifies who posted the message and saves others the trouble of inserting your signature. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:57, 24 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
