Active Internationals Travel Network
Hello, Active Internationals Travel Network! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.
Wikivoyage:Welcome, business owners may be particularly relevant to you.
Your user page seems excessive to me, in terms of length, number of links and our Wikivoyage:Don't tout policy. Please consider cutting it to about two lines and one link. Pashley (talk) 13:58, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- I see another of the site's regulars has blanked the page and suggested deletion. I can see why; in fact I almost deleted it myself. However, I chose to make the above comment instead. What I would suggest as (the maximum amount of) text that would be acceptable is:
- Active Internationals is a travel company based in India but also providing services for Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. A specialty is arranging tours that include working in India. Pashley (talk) 15:30, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- As an aside, I am a bit paranoid so I have javascript & flash blocked by default; I only enable them for pages I trust. For your site, I get a blank page. To me, that means your site is badly broken. Of course this is probably not a widespread attitude, but it might be worth considering. Pashley (talk) 15:36, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
Listings on destination articles
editHi. I've deleted your listings. Please read this site's tour policy page and also don't tout and welcome, business owners. I won't be around much, but I see that other admins and veteran users are working with you. Please cooperate with them, for the benefit of all.
All the best,
Don't edit war
editHi. Please stop edit warring in the Pushkar article. Your walking tour seems to violate this site's tour policy. If after you read this site's policy on tour listings, you think your tour provides "added value" according to the Wikivoyage meaning of that phrase, please make an argument on Talk:Pushkar, see if you can achieve a consensus on the acceptability of your listing, and only if you do should you repost it for a third time.
Please respect Wikivoyage policies, foremost among them the need for consensus, rather than edit warring, or it may be necessary to block your company's URL and/or suspend your posting privileges, and we'd rather have you around, making contributions to this site that stay within its consensus policies.
