Editing old April fool's day articles
editHi there!
This ping made me notice you've recently been busy editing a lot of April fool's day articles from earlier years. Did you notice the purple banner at the top of them? It says "This was an April Fools' Day joke article. We amused ourselves tremendously in making it. Please refrain from dragging out the silliness and plunge forward on some real articles!" (my emphasis). This means that the old articles should not be edited any longer. Other people have also pointed it out to you as well. Presently we actually have an article for the upcoming April fool's day, perhaps you'd be interested contributing there instead. --Ypsilon (talk) 14:00, 27 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Ypsilon: There was a banner (see discussion) that needed to be implemented. AnotherEditor144 (talk) 10:41, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- As I explained to you already, the banner under discussion was used on the main page on 1 April 2019; it was not about the article's pagebanner. The discussion was held two years ago; its decision was implemented two years ago. I'll ask you once more to stop wasting time editing old April Fools Day articles and focus instead either on the current AFD article or on a real article that will help to grow our travel guide.--ThunderingTyphoons! - @ThunderingTyphoons!: Okay. Firstly, why would a discussion about the main page banner be there? And secondly, I have been doing plenty of actual stuff. AnotherEditor144 (talk) 10:55, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- On the same talk page again: "Last year, the banner discussion was placed on the joke article's talk page, so I guess this is the right place..." It would really help you to take time to read things fully before acting. That way, people won't have to repeat themselves in order to explain a point to you.
- I don't have a problem with your other edits, and thank you for the time you've given for them.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:01, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- @ThunderingTyphoons!: Thanks. Let's get back to some real articles, okay? AnotherEditor144 (talk) 11:06, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- OK, good. Then I can restore some of the joke articles. –LPfi (talk) 09:05, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Location of discussions
editThunderingTyphoons! Thanks for that thank you just delivered. Just remember to comment on my user talk page on s: next time! This helps keep it all in 1 place. AnotherEditor144 (talk) 11:14, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- Will try to remember that, but generally when we're both editing Wikivoyage it makes sense to keep it here. Wikisource patrollers don't need a bunch of irrelevant talk page edits in their recent changes list.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:17, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- ThunderingTyphoons! But then again, this (keeping discussions in s:) helps keep it all in 1 place. Those patrollers will dismiss it anyway. They are looking for bad edits. AnotherEditor144 (talk) 11:19, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- I don't get notifications about edits at Wikisource without taking special measures, while I do want to follow developments on Wikivoyage user talk pages (those I choose to follow). Discussing a certain project on that project's pages is established practice. You don't have to react immediately to talk page notices, so I see no problem for you to have the two talk pages; when you make edits at Wikivoyage you'll be notified about the edits to your talk page over here. –LPfi (talk) 09:04, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- @LPfi: Got it. Just remember that I have archives there (someone told me about this). AnotherEditor144 (talk) 15:49, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
