Hello Chizoba2! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Thanks for your contributions so far. A bit of care in capitalization would be appreciated. For example, it should be obvious that Samaru Kataf is a place name and should never be typed in lowercase letters. Also, consider what climate information is useful for readers. Average yearly temperature is useless, but average monthly high and low temperatures and rainfall are useful. "samaru kataf is in the dry Sahel, surrounded by sandy savannah and isolated hills." is useful, but not exactly about climate, except for the word "dry" and the implications of the geographic features. The reader doesn't know whether there's a rainy season or when it is, nor how hot it is.

Best,

Thank you for your contributions to Wikivoyage, but a little more information would be a lot more helpful to travellers. Her you tell readers that Ososo has wet and dry seasons, but you don't mention when they are. Which months are these seasons? Ground Zero (talk) 15:30, 20 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

If a place is safe and there are no threats to safety there, there's no reason to state that at length. Just say "Such-and-such is a safe place where you are unlikely to face any threats," or something. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:07, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
