Hello, Dabloodymess! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. --Saqib (talk) 14:54, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- I was going to say welcome but my colleague was faster :). Anyways, I can also respond to your concerns at Talk:Chiang Mai right here. This is a Wiki site and nobody "owns" an article. Many articles aren't constantly updated for the simple reason that none of the active contributors lives there/has visited the place for a while. But you are more than welcome to contribute with any up to date information about Chiang Mai and any other destination. Plunge forward! ϒpsilon (talk) 14:56, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome Ypsilon. I wasnt worried so much about someone owning it, just that I would much prefer to collaborate with them if they are already putting in some effort with that page rather than just waltzing in. I live in CM, so I dont need to be in a rush to make changes. —The preceding comment was added by Dabloodymess (talk • contribs)
- To me, that sounds like a great reason to rush to make changes! The way people will collaborate is by reading your contributions and adding to or perhaps editing them in some fashion. As Ypsilon says, please plunge forward and add the content you want to add. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:16, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
