Hello, EcargBright! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.
Thank you for adding information about places in Nigeria! If you have the time, I'd like to request for you to use Wikivoyage:Listings templates and add clear location and contact information in the listings. If you look to the right of the word "Listings" above your edit screen, you can see various icons. If you click the icons, you will produce the following blank listing template types:
- The Greek temple - "See"
- The bicycle - "Do"
- The shopping cart - "Buy"
- The knife and spoon - "Eat"
- The cocktail glass - "Drink"
- The bed - "Sleep"
- The airplane - "Go" (useful for local airports, train stations, bus stations and the like, but airports out of town are best mentioned with a link to the "By plane" section of the city they mainly serve)
- The italic letter I - That's for generic listings that don't fit into any other category.
The more useful information (pricing, hours, perhaps geocoding) you can supply for listings, the better. For example, what is interesting for travellers about the studios listed in Ado Ekiti? Are they recording studios, photography studios, artists' studios or some other kind of studio, and is anything on exhibit there? And in the case of restaurants with names like Takeaway Eatery and Perfect Treat, what do they specialise in?
Thanks again and all the best,
