Mount Buller edit

I just had a full read of it and all I've got to say is it's super comprehensive and detailed. As a fellow Australian who loves venturing out into the snow (in Thredbo or Perisher), this is exactly what Wikivoyage needs. Keep up the great work and happy skiing. :-) --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 07:05, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I was surprised at the lack of detail the guide had and wanted to improve it, hope to bring it to Star status in the future. JML1148 (talk) 07:23, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oops, I don't know what I was doing when I said Melbourne was to the southeast! JML1148 (talk) 07:30, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not a problem. I've made quite a lot of similar (and often obscure) errors before. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 07:40, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Featuring Mount Buller edit

Do you think the article should be nominated for off the beaten path? It's looking very Main Page-worthy, but I don't know the area well, so wanted to get another opinion before nominating. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 09:12, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

@SHB2000: I think off the beaten path would be a good fit for Mount Buller. Ideally, we'd get the August timeslot (peak season), however it appears Longyearben has already been confirmed for that, so perhaps January or February 2024 would work (peak season for North American ski resorts). My main concerns are that the Understand section is too short and that the summer season is somewhat neglected, which I will work on soon. Coincidentally I'm heading up to Buller in a few days, so give me a couple weeks to fix those issues. JML1148 (talk) 09:57, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ideally, it would be featured sometime next winter during peak ski reason, but the timings can always be figured out closer to when it's featured. The only article from the Australian Alps that was ever featured was Mount Kosciuszko summit trails (featured in March). Anyway, it will several months before it's featured, so there's no hurry :-). Either way, enjoy your time up in the snow! SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 10:19, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
