Hello, Mattwillmarron! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

And thank you for your edits to Dallas! Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:02, 13 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I will be sure to check them out. Mattwillmarron (talk) 23:15, 13 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
One minor thing; on talk pages it is customary to add a ":" in front of an answer and additional ":" to answers to answers so that they are tabulated by one whitespace. It makes reading easier, but no worries. Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:33, 13 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Minor edits edit

Hello, and thanks for your contributions. Just a heads up about when to mark edits as minor: this does not constitute a minor edit. Minor edits are when you fix typos, revert vandalism, or insert/subtract the odd word. But an edit that reorganises one paragraph and deletes another is not minor. One rule of thumb which works for me is if you need to write an edit summary to explain your edit, it's not minor; if your edit is self-explanatory, it probably is. I hope that makes sense; please let me know if not. Best wishes, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 09:48, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I think I understand. I will follow that rule from now on. Thank you for taking the time to explain to me! Mattwillmarron (talk) 10:32, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
