Thanks for your work on Baicheng; most appreciated. However, it's against site policy to have inline links to Wikipedia - see WV:Links to Wikipedia. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:34, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Copy editing and reverting

Also, when I edit your text because it's not understandable or in good English, please don't change it back to the previous wording. If you'd like to discuss what you meant, that's fine. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:35, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Here's my attempt to turn the wine listings into readable English. Please note my edit summary:
Largely restored my attempt at making the Taonanxiang Wine listing understandable; did the same with the Taoerhe Wine listing. Sorry for removing phrases I found impossible to understand, but don't just restore them. Also read WV:Links to Wikipedia.
I spent time working on this, so please don't just edit war by reverting to your previous version. I would like to restore any information I removed, but I have to understand what you meant. Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:45, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, I am sorry to reply so late. What I had edited are Chinese idiom and maybe the sentences offend against the rules of grammar. "with an aroma of pure, a mellow start, and a long finish. " means smelling well. "elegant wine" means the quality is good. I think you are right and what I had edited are unnecessary.mzsamzsa (talk) 16:28, 07 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Not a problem! Actually, "a mellow start and a long finish" is meaningful in English. I myself like wines with a long finish, which means that I taste the wine for a long time after drinking it. A mellow wine would not be harsh in taste or mouthfeel. "Elegant wine" is also perfectly understandable in English. Anyway, keep writing what you can, and others will do their best to edit your English. What's important is that you are adding content that was not there before.
