What does this mean? I am adding our hotels to the cities they are in. I'm not sure what I did. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:39, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
What area did I violate so I can know? I don't see that I violated anything from the forms I read. I put in our hotel information and updated a couple others that didn't have all the information displayed. I don't see that violates anything. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:39, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Because you violated respect Wikivoyage policy repeatedly, you have been blocked from editing for one . Ground Zero (talk) 18:15, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Here is some if the text that you added:
Enjoy all the comforts of home when you stay with us. Enjoy a comp breakfast,
How is that not touting? Who is "us"? Do you mean Wikivoyage? Wikivoyage does not operate a hotel in Colorado. And what travel guide uses clichéd language like "Enjoy all the comforts of home"? Not this one. That's boring corporate-speak. Ground Zero (talk) 18:42, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm talking about us as in the company I am logging in as. I used our description from another site. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:43, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
If you'd prefer I didn't put in commentary I can delete it all and just leave the hotel info. I need to know what you need, the forms I read were not helpful. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:44, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
And that's just it. Wikivoyage is a travel guide, not free advertising space for companies. Read WV:TOUT. But you were really blocked for edit warring. If someone disagrees with your changes, discuss it on the article's talk page. Don't just keep making the same edits. That's a waste of time. Ground Zero (talk) 18:45, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
As soon as I was blocked I wasn't able to continue posting anything at all. So I'm not making the same edits, not sure what you're referring to at all. I was blocked from that. By you. I am simply trying to understand what you want me to change other than the description and get unblocked. I don't want to advertise here. Just show my hotels that are in the area, as the other hotels are listed as well. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:47, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
My other comments here were deleted I see for some reason. As I said, I don't want to advertise here. I want our hotel information to be shown the same as the others that were already approved are showing. I only just signed up today and trying to understand, but you are just being condescending. Your articles did not help, I asked if I just need to not put in a description, I'd be happy to not. I just need confirmation and also you to finish your sentence that says how long the block is. You said above for "one " and didn't finish. I am trying to follow your rules but you aren't communicating. SBCOSDigital (talk) 19:07, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
I haven't kept making the same edits? I'm not sure why you are speaking in this manner. As you can see, I just signed up today. I am simply trying to add our hotel information. Not advertise. SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:46, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Your sentence did not finish. It says "Because you violated respect Wikivoyage policy repeatedly, you have been blocked from editing for one "
One what?
Thanks SBCOSDigital (talk) 18:51, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You were blocked by User:Ibaman for one day. I have unblocked you now. I ask that you also follow Wikivoyage style;
For U.S. articles, Wikivoyage uses a 12-hour format (e.g. 9AM-noon, 2PM-6PM). We don't use "12PM" and "12AM" because they are ambiguous: some people use them to mean "noon" and "midnight", while other people use them to mean "midnight " and "noon". This is set out in our style guide, WV:time.
We don't include postal address information, like Zip codes, and we don't include "Loveland, CO" in addresses in the Loveland article, because it is obvious and repetitive. ::: The most important thing is to write like average guide, instead of copying advertising text from your own website. Ground Zero (talk) 19:07, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good. I will be sure to do that. Thanks. SBCOSDigital (talk) 19:08, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I will reiterate that Wikivoyage uses a 12-hour format (e.g. 9AM-noon, 2PM-6PM), where AM and PM are capitalized. We don't use "12PM" and "12AM" because they are ambiguous: some people use them to mean "noon" and "midnight", while other people use them to mean "midnight " and "noon". This is set out in our style guide, WV:time. Ground Zero (talk) 20:13, 19 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

I see pm and am used on all other posts made by everyone else and they remain posted. How am I supposed to format it? SBCOSDigital (talk) 20:16, 19 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Like he said, if you mean noon, type "noon", and AM and PM should be capitalized. "Because other mistakes haven't been corrected" is not a good reason to make more. This site is maintained entirely by volunteers, and we are not able to fix every mistake or inconsistency in real time, but you can help. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:27, 19 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Some editors make errors. We do our best to correct them. Please work with us. Wikivoyage is managed by a relatively small group of volunteers who are trying to build a free travel guide. Why would you choose to make errors? Don't try to make things more difficult. Ground Zero (talk) 20:27, 19 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are making these edits on behalf of your employer. We will accept them if you work with us by following Wikivoyage style. And what that means is that you will make the corrections to your previous edits before making any other edits. That is a fair trade. Ground Zero (talk) 22:43, 19 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
