Hello, Schwaltz! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. -- Sapphire (talk) 00:29, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

Can you add a little more to your "Williamsburg" page that you created? It's quite empty. Ceadeus Slayer Sea of Blood © 14:21, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Addresses should be abbreviated

edit

Hello,

While your edits to Lexington (Kentucky) are definitely appreciated, on Wikivoyage we don't include the city, state, or ZIP in addresses in listings. The city and state should be obvious from the article, and the ZIP code isn't needed for navigation.

Also, URLs for websites should be in their shortest possible form. This means that instead of linking to http://www.baymontinns.com/hotels/kentucky/lexington/baymont-inn-and-suites-lexington/hotel-overview?partner_id=&hotel_id=17915&group_code=&campaign_code=&propId=BU17915&brand_id=BU&checkout_date=&modify=false&useWRPoints=false&children=0&corporate_id=&ratePlan=BAR&teens=0&affiliate_id=&altPropId=17915&brand_code=BH%2CDI%2CRA%2CBU%2CHJ%2CKG%2CMT%2CSE%2CTL%2CWG%2CWY%2CPX%2CWT%2CWP%2CPN&iata=&childAgeParam=&rate_code=&adults=1&discreteParam=1-0-0-1-0-0-1-0-0-1-0-0&checkin_date=&rooms=1, we should instead shorten it to either http://www.baymontinns.com/hotels/kentucky/lexington/baymont-inn-and-suites-lexington/hotel-overview (which incidentally is exactly what Google links to as its first result) or simply http://www.baymontinns.com/Lexington (which is the first advertised result on Google).

Aside from that, great job! Lexington's Sleep section has been badly in need of some work, but I don't spend enough time in hotels to be very good at researching them. Thanks for your effort! --Bigpeteb (talk) 14:49, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the info, I will keep it in mind going forward. Schwaltz (talk) 00:22, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Records

edit

Hi! No worries, you didn't really steal the record box from me :). I grabbed the idea from User:Sertmann's user page, and even plagiarized his flagroll idea on my own user page! ϒpsilon (talk) 14:59, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks!

Just wanted to drop you a note to say that all of your good work lately hasn't gone unnoticed. Thanks! -- Ryan • (talk) • 02:06, 20 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Docent

edit

Hi, Schwaltz! Are you still available as a docent? I've noticed you haven't been on Wikivoyage since last year, so just need to check whether you want us to retain you as docent. Many thanks, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 00:22, 23 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I thought I had removed myself, but just noticed I was still listed as one for KY. Went ahead and removed that tag. I don't mind answering questions, but I may be slow in responding.—The preceding comment was added by Schwaltz (talkcontribs)
Thanks for getting back to me. Best, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 11:36, 30 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
