Default address parameters

edit

Hello, and thanks a lot for adding so much content! Much appreciated!

I have a small favor to ask of you: On Wikivoyage, if the address of anyplace is in the same town an article is about, the name of the town is omitted from its listing's address. State and zip code are also nearly always omitted. The reason for this is that the street address is given for the purpose of finding the actual location of the establishment, not to snail mail the place. So please omit these default parameters, and if you have the time, delete them from listings you've already added.

Thanks again, and all the best,

Thanks, @Ikan Kekek: I thought I was doing it right, since the only ones I'd been putting the town in were the ones that are not in Ashland City. I'll take out the "TN"s, that makes total sense — but I should leave in the towns still, right? Sweet kate (talk) 06:56, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, if the name of the town is not the same as the name of the article, you should include it in the address. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:10, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
