Trusip
Hello Trusip! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub notes → Article status notes
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!--ϒpsilon (talk) 15:40, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Listings
editHello, and thank you for adding listings! However, please do not use listing tags or copy material verbatim from Wikitravel, least of all without crediting it. Use only listing templates. Thanks. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:13, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
- No problem. What is the policy if I personally have written the material on Wikitravel and then copied it onto Wikivoyage? I'm happy to reformat the listings, but does all text have to be re-written as well? --Trusip (talk) 10:39, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- Content contributed by you to Wikitravel is copyrighted by you and can be reused by you at will, though it's still a good practice to type something like "also added at WT" in your edit summary. You don't have to re-write it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 13:28, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
