Hello, Vacationer! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.jan (talk) 15:06, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Banner
editHi Jordan, i see you add a lot of flags in the banners and changed the Russian banner. Please read Wikivoyage:Banner_Expedition and thank you for your contributions. I think the banner change for Russia might be challenged, any discussion about that will be on the talk page of the article. Best regards, jan (talk) 15:10, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Jordan, would you please avoid adding flags in political sensitive countries where their territory or body is challenged? Project:Be_fair#Political_disputes are a root cause for edit warring and countries like Taiwan, both Coreas, Kosova etc. are rather sensitive. Thank you and best regards, jan (talk) 15:24, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) There is a discussion at Wikivoyage_talk:Banner_Expedition#Flags_in_banners.3F about flags in banners. At this point several people object to their inclusion, so it would be best to hold off adding them to the banners until the concerns can be worked out. Any other contributions you wish to make would be greatly appreciated though! -- Ryan • (talk) • 15:26, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- I'm reverting all your additions of flags to pagebanners, for now, given the content of this thread and the linked discussion. Sorry for the inconvenience, and please check your user talk page now and then. Thanks so much! Ikan Kekek (talk) 15:28, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Jordan, no worries and thank you that you plunged forward. Take your time, have fun, i understand policies are sometimes overwhelming. It would be great if you keep adding banners because we are a couple 1,000s short of them;) Any hand is welcome. jan (talk) 15:39, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Jordan, feel free to always Plunge forward if you spot such deviations from missing consensus. With over 25000 articles it is hard to get all of them... jan (talk) 13:59, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi Jordan, I have reverted your edit on Chelyabinsk for two reasons: the new banner had wrong dimensions (the spect ratio must be 7:1) and secondly, where there is already a custom banner, you need to get a consensus at the talk page to change it to make sure it is an improvement. As Jan mentioned before, I recommend you to read Banner Expedition carefully. Happy editing. Danapit (talk) 14:37, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
Thornhill
editHi Jordan,
I turned your near-stub on Thornhill into a redirect to Vaughan. The Vaughan article is nowhere near long enough to require districting, in my opinion, but if you think it should be subdivided into district articles, the procedure on this site is to make a detailed proposal on the article's talk page (in this case, Talk:Vaughan, explaining why the traveller comes first dictates that it should be districted, giving the names of the proposed district articles and their boundaries, and stating how many listings in total you would expect each district article to have.
All the best,
