Spam filter

edit

How do I publish a page that contains external links? I want to link things like the official government website but it was blocked by a spam filter. What do I do? —The preceding comment was added by Alexander Walmart (talkcontribs)

According to the spam filter, you were trying to add links to Discord and some kind of Google Form 'visa' application to visit an unrecognised microstate on a page you were creating about said microstate. Links to Discord are disallowed, and I'm not sure about Forms but it certainly triggered the filter so probably not allowed either. More importantly I question whether Wikivoyage would benefit from an article about Hilbert. Please read Wikivoyage:Goals and non-goals + Wikivoyage:What is an article, and consider whether such an article would pass the 'sleep test', whether Hilbert would be better treated as a listing in an existing article, or whether we could do without mentioning it at all.--ThunderingTyphoons! I've deleted the article. Wikivoyage is a travel guide, not free web space for fantasy nations. Ground Zero (talk) 18:24, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was wondering if whether it could be restored and moved (without a redirect) to Wikivoyage:Bad jokes and other deleted nonsense. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 07:29, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The article GZ deleted basically confirmed my suspicion that Hilbert didn't need its own article; at most it would warrant a listing in the nearest Slovakian town we have a page for. I would say if we're not going to allow a serious article (there is some precedent for featuring such micronations on WV, rightly or wrongly - see the list at European_microstates#Micronations), then it should remain deleted. Whatever we may think about these "countries", they're not usually jokes for the people who created and live in them.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 19:01, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
