Plan of action

I thought I would get the ball rolling, as we say in the U.S. at least, and suggest priorities:

(1) I think the first thing we should do is check the information about each country and update where needed. For countries, travel advisories by the usual suspects (US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, etc.) and in some cases, U.N. agencies, can be useful as references.

(2) When we're done with that, we should check information on major cities. This may be harder and might require local knowledge, though crime statistics are sometimes available and can give the reader at least some sense of what crimes may be increasing or decreasing.

(3) There are likely to be some regions that require updates. For example, some foreign ministries mention specific areas of Countries X, Y and Z in their travel advisories.

I'm not sure how much work I'll do on this, but those are the steps that strike me as reasonable.

Proposal for Stay safe Expedition

Swept in from the pub

As discussed on User talk:Ikan Kekek#Security Expedition?, to ensure that security and stay safe contents are updated timely, especially for locations that Wikivoyage users pay less attention. In accordance to WV:Expeditions I propose to start an expedition regarding stay safe contents, which should cover:

1. {{Warningbox}} and {{Cautionbox}} (as long as stay safe-related) and
2. Local stay safe information including crime, places to avoid, safety information for other activities, etc.

COVID-19 information is not expected to be included in this proposed expedition. Please feel free to give comments on this proposal, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 11:18, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
