Dotm candidate?

I'm kind of astonished by the idea that Denpasar is "off the beaten tourist track," as claimed in Denpasar#Understand, but this is a Guide-level article for the largest city in and capital of Bali, it's certainly a significant destination, and it should be considered for a Destination of the month nomination. My question would be whether the article is up to date. Would anyone with current or even dubiously recent experience or/and information about the city like to check the entries? Also, would anyone like to offer an opinion on the DotM-worthiness of the article before we actually nominate it for a front-page feature? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:40, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

We have a lot of high-quality articles for destinations on Bali... and that's why Bali itself has been featured as DoTM twice (Feb 2013, Mar 2010). Nusa Lembongan and Ubud on Bali have also been featured, all of them as DoTM. Therefore I would prefer to see something from other parts of Indonesia on the Main Page; Bunaken, Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, Mount Rinjani, Prambanan, Semarang, Senggigi are all Guides even if some of them still lack custom banners. Almost. The article is well written and tidy. Price levels could be useful in Eat and Sleep and POI coordinates and a dynamic map could also be added. Overall, the article seems a little short for a city of over 800,000 inhabitants. ϒpsilon (talk) 14:29, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Update?

In the "Get in/By road" section, we are warned that "[2012: Due to traffic, allow 1.5-2 hr to reach the airport from Ubud.]" Setting aside that this article isn't about the airport, it's 2021 now. I'll delete the sentence in brackets, but could someone who's been to Denpasar more recently than 2012 please update? Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:18, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Ikan. I was there recently in 2019, but the traffic is becoming worse. If you're talking about going to the Airport from Ubud, basically the same, since all roads in Bali in general are mostly narrower than in Java island. Which update should it be for this page? I have less time for editing now due to my schedule but still can occasionally check once a week based on my watchlist.ibhi19 (talk) 11:19, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
