Banner
editPlease pick one. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:03, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm fine with the existing one (i.e. #1) --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 10:01, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- I prefer the current, upper, banner. It is more varying, showing also mountains and cultivated landscapes. The other one seems to emphasize driving through the bush, which, deeming from the quality of the paving, is not necessary. –LPfi (talk) 10:06, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- I slightly prefer #2. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 10:30, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- To be honest, as the person who cropped these banners, I'm quite neutral on it. I get the same sentiments as LPfi, although I'm not a fan of the bent Bourail sign hence why I can't pick. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 10:41, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- They're both good, but #1 has more varied scenery and the hills in the background clinch the choice for me. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
Tolls
editAre there definitely still toll roads? According to Franceinfo, they were discontinued in 2013. Have they been reinstated since? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:35, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure to be honest. This source and this says so, but I'm not sure if those are out of date. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 12:39, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hmm, it's hard to know for sure, since those are not dated. I'd probably be more inclined to trust a dated news article from the country (have also seen the same story on other local websites and also one on Radio NZ), than commercial websites operated from God knows where. French Wikipedia also doesn't mention any toll roads existing after 2013. Probably safe to remove the section? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:57, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- I'll put that in invisible text, so if anybody knows the current situation, it can be updated. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 13:00, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

- (And I wasn't even suspicious if they existed before finding the news articles, I was just trying to check whether they were called péages in NC or something else.)--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 13:00, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Done put that in invisible text. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 13:01, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
