Proposed merger
editThe county has fewer than 28,000 residents. The largest of the four communities for which we have articles has fewer than 1,700 residents. The Wikipedia articles for them reveal no points of interest. Each of the four articles consists of nothing more than a few random business listings. I propose to merge the four articles up into the county article to make it easier for readers to find the little information we have. Comments? Ground Zero (talk) 18:57, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- The county also isn't linked from Central Illinois. Should it be turned into a rural area article? Would it be linked in a different subsection in Central Illinois#Cities called "Rural area"? Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:35, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- That makes sense. Ground Zero (talk) 21:50, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- I have had a look at the county's articles. I added a few details, but didn't find anything major missing from these 4 villages. I added two other places to the list of towns, as we are missing the one place with a museum, but I don't think we are missing anything major and a merged rural area would be ok. - I support merging the articles into the county article, which should be converted to a rural area article to avoid an empty region. --Comment by Selfie City (talk | contributions) 01:18, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
