editIs this a lake? Lakes are not subjects of articles. See Project:What is an article? (WT-en) OldPine 15:33, 11 October 2006 (EDT)
Can You sleep There? Also; Bodies of Water?
editThe article seems to state you can't sleep there and a decade old comment seems to indicate this is some body of water. Does this or does this not violate policy? Hobbitschuster (talk) 00:34, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
- It's a pretty substantive article. If you turned it into a listing in another article, which one would that be? Höfn? Would it overload that article? Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:14, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
- four years later...
- Well, in that case Rome/Vatican fails that test too. Plus, many parks don't have accommodation options as well. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 09:31, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- It is a big enough site with enough information to get acstandalone Park article. Mashing this information into the article for Höfn would not make things easier for readers. I think this article is permitted under Wikivoyage:What is an article?:
- "Cases where exceptions are made include attractions, sites, or events that are... so large and complex that the information about them would overload the city article."

- But should it be breadcrumbed under Vatnakojull Nat Park? Jökulsárlón is part of Vatnakojull. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:21, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- Sure. But it is probably the most visited part of the park because it is right on Route 1, so let's make sure it is linked from other articles, too. Ground Zero (talk) 11:30, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- On second thought, do we breadcrumb articles below park articles? The only one that I know of where that's done is Pulu Keeling National Park. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:38, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- I don't see why not. Lake Louise is bc'ed under Banff National Park. Columbia Icefield is under Jasper National Park. Ground Zero (talk) 11:50, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- Just checking. I've never seen that before, so wanted to double check. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 11:54, 20 December 2021 (UTC)

Banner
editYvwv mentioned in Talk:Vatnajökull National Park "I would like to see #1, as most banners for Iceland are purely natural, and we could be reminded that it is a modern country.".
So here's the two options. If we do use banner 1, the lede needs to be changed to this image, which can easily be done. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 23:00, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- Banner 1. The current banner is artistic, but 1 evokes what I remember of the place much better. Ground Zero (talk) 23:19, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- I also support the proposal, which is essentially to swap the images in the banner and article. --Comment by Selfie City (talk) (contributions) 14:19, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
