@Ground Zero: Is Lankafest still around? I don't know. Its webpage says it was cancelled in 2021, and the news you cited that it was cancelled in 2020. I don't know what the resources are for arranging it next year, but I see no reason to believe it will not be arranged. –LPfi (talk) 21:21, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

- The news said it was cancelled in 2020, but that there was enthusiasm for 2021. Their own page seems to be a screenshot of the 2021 info with "cancelled" printed on top (background image, the content is commented out). I don't know how early they need to be with info if they hope to arrange it next year, but in their shoes, I'd like to see where the pandemic is heading before making commitments. If they don't have info when people start planning their summers, then I'll have less hope. –LPfi (talk) 22:11, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
New banner edit

- The current banner is of a large mire, typical for northern Ostrobothnia (in the wide, historic sense, i.e. including this region). The description only says "[...] aside of highway 20 in Pudasjärvi", perhaps Ypsilon knows what mire. Anyway, even if representative, it might look dull as banner. The proposed banner is Kiutaköngäs, one of the sights of Oulanka National Park, as it happens a very accessible sight, near the visitor centre (which in itself is far from any major road) and on the very popular 80-km Karhunkierros trail. But the image of the waterfall proposed as banner is not that stunning. There are lots of rivers in the region, but I don't think (prejudice? I haven't really been here, just passed through) the image is as representative, at least not of what you see without hiking, and the waterfall as seen in the banner is not much different to what you easily find elsewhere. –LPfi (talk) 12:17, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
