Menorca or Minorca

Any particular reason this page was moved? The Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names gives "Menorca" as the preferred spelling, not "Minorca". --(WT-en) Evan 18:07, 7 Feb 2006 (EST)

Content from Wikitravel

I created a big part of the content for the Menorca article in Wikitravel and I would like that this is also available in Wikivoyage. According to this article, this is not encouraged. It's a problem if you want this page to come up in Google searches. If you care about that, you may want to try rephrasing a lot of the text. Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:40, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Mapshapes

So it appears whoever drew the municipal boundaries had the good grace to make large entities, would it be a good idea to include those mapshapes in the overall map, maybe color them in different colors and give the individual city articles similar colors? Page Status

I've changed the status of this region page to usable, because it meets the criteria listed on Wikivoyage:Usable_articles, but the individual city articles - Maó and Ciutadella still need work.

a region can only be useable if most cities in the region are at least at usable. Also there are many listings in the region that should be in city articles. --Traveler100 (talk) 20:50, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Sleep listings

Moved from the article. All three of these are in towns that so far don't have their own articles. However, the first one links to a general rental site for Son Bou, the second has a generic name and no URL and is a bit touty, and the third has a generic name and a dead link. I should add, I moved everything else out of "Sleep" that was in a town that already has its own article.

2 Vista Picas Apartmentos, Cala N Forcat. Check-in: Varies, check-out: Varies. Family hotel in Cala N Forcat on the west side of the island, 5 minute car journey from Ciutadella, 30-minute walk. Swimming pool is spacious, staff always incredibly friendly. Rated as 3 stars but truly a 5-star experience. Supermarket just over the road, local nightlife 2 minutes away. (updated Jun 2018)

3 Playa Calan Porter (Apartamentos Calan Porter Playa), Calle Llebeig 12, ☏ +441442818017. Lovely two-bedroom apartment with private balcony that overlooks beautifully landscaped gardens and a large communal pool with separate child’s pool. The beach is a 10-minute stroll and the town centre is a few minutes walk. (updated Jun 2018)
