Talk:The Golden Triangle (India)

Do we need this?

edit

I was about to work on turning this into an itinerary.... but I'm not sure it needs its own article.... We can talk on the main India page about what the Golden Triangle is and the cities that comprise it.... and actually info on the cities should be at their own respective articles.... and those articles will already cover how to get between these cities, since they're obvious next destinations. Creating this article seems like it would be repeating information that should already be found elsewhere – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 22:01, 6 June 2009 (EDT)

Over 7 years later, I think this should be a very brief article that's essentially a disambig page, not an itinerary. Basically, I'd leave the lede and delete everything else. However, if there's a useful reason to keep the rest of this article, it needs updating and copy editing. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:46, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Per the one year rule for itineraries. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 00:24, 18 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Keep The Golden Triangle is a well known itinerary for foreign tourists in India and often aimed at first time visitors so I feel it is iconic enough to keep despite being unedited for over a year, I’m against it being a region as there is a set start and end point (Delhi) and it is often done by train. OK, thanks for explaining that. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:19, 18 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Omit "the" from article name

edit

The definite article is not generally part of the proper noun and this article lowercases the article while capitalising the "Golden Triangle" part. Thus, I want to omit "the" from article name. Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 10:16, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

No big deal, but on the face of it, that makes sense to me. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:31, 2 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
