Although I already posted this on User talk:110.150.4.116, here's another welcome message.

Hello, Basa Pulu Kokos! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 05:13, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Terima kasih banyak untuk phrasebook Basa Pulu Kokos itu! I question the use of refs and footnotes for a phrasebook for Wikivoyage, though; see Wikivoyage:External links. Besides, I think most people who speak Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia will see the differences, and most of our readers don't know either of those languages. (Aside: the Malaysian state of Terengganu, where I used to live, also shortens "bahasa" to "basa" with a long first "a" in its local dialect; "Bahasa Terengganu" is "Basa Tegganu," more or less.) For now, it may be useful as there is no ms.wikivoyage.org or id.wikivoyage.org and they're still in the incubator, so all our readers from Malaysia or Indonesia will need to read the English Wikivoyage. Not sure about the refs and footnotes though. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:05, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
If we want differences spelled out, they could be put in parentheses in the relevant lines. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:07, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
That could also work.
As an aside to Basa Pulu Kokos, would it help to adapt the grammar section off the standard Malay phrasebook or does grammar also significantly differ. SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta.wikimedia) 06:08, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@SHB2000 @Ikan Kekek Grammar does not differ much, mostly just words and spelling. For example "bahasa" = "basa", "pulau" = "pulu", etc. However I will change the references to parentheses because it would probably look better. Thanks. Basa Pulu Kokos (talk) 00:49, 18 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Minecraft tourism edit

Hi, Basa Pulu Kokos,

What do you plan to do to develop this article? Right now, it does not look like a travel topic, but instead a long list.

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:00, 12 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Ikan Kekek: Hi, yes I will gradually add more general information to the article soon. I think it is a good article but I still think it needs improving. I will work on it. The article is about tourism relating to Minecraft events, such as Minecraft Live, where people from around the world travel to the annual convention. Thanks.
