Hello, Billbarrelrider! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for your edits so far! --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:17, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I didn't realise you were willthewanderer - you doubtless know the ropes already. Nice to have you back under a new name. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:18, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Great you welcome new editors so warmly, I hope I can do more for the project when I'm not moving around so much. I realized editing anonymously was probably making a mess.

all the best :)

Yeah, one of the perks of being a smaller wiki is you tend to know everyone. Happy travels :-) --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 15:12, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Punctuation edit

Hi! Thanks for your continued efforts to provide practical info on lesser-travelled places around the world. Wikivoyage has a huge America/Europe bias in terms of useful coverage, so we need more contributors like you to balance things out.

Just one thing, some of your edits have a bit of a careless approach towards punctuation: missing capital letters at the start of sentences, no full stops at the end, and the like. Although our manual of style is quite relaxed, it's not at the point where these fundamentals of writing don't matter :-) Could you please keep that in mind as you go on? Best wishes, ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 15:23, 22 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Feedback edit

My apologies, I'll try to take more care in the future. I appreciate having some feedback, it helps a great deal to keep my edits solid.

No apologies necessary. Thanks again. Best wishes, James (ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 14:14, 25 September 2018 (UTC))Reply

Imphal update edit

Hi, Bill, and thanks as always for updating an article! But pray tell, what is this symbol you used for Manipur? Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:59, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Forgive my typos, as usual im trying to write on a mobile using the desktop version.

Can I save my edits as drafts somehow? My connection drops out and I lose my work every five minutes.

I can think of two ways: Copy the text to your user page, edit and then copy it back to the article, or just type something like "interim save" in your edit summary - which you kind of did. Anyway, I'm going to bed and I think no-one will interfere if you are continuing to update now. Thanks again! Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:48, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
